Hi, I love these gloves! Problem is, the yarn is phased-out by Rowan. The sub is the Rowan Scottish Tweed 4-ply. If I can find the Rowanspun, which would you suggest I use (Please email and tell me!) I love the colors in the ones on Knitty. Thanks!

Poethead: I like this yarn, but it really doesn’t matter which you use. Just use whichever you like the feel of better.
You can often find this yarn on eBay as it was part of a kit that was given out as a promotion for Rowan Knitting International. The kit was a pillow cover designed by Kaffe Fassett. I have seen several in the last few months.

I really love your new Knitty gloves!! I’m more of a process knitter–who needed some new gloves–and the thought of knitting up gloves on DPN was dreadfully boring. These are so interesting and exciting! I started them last night, can’t wait to see how they are finished!
