I had a VERY old British Mohair yarn, and the Pink Leafy scarf pattern worked just fine.

I even added some fringes to it.

The gauge for this pattern is 7.5 stitches and 10 rows in 4 inches or 10cm. I would say that any yarn with suggested gauge of 7 - 8 stitches to 4 inches or 10cm would be fine.

I am not familiar with the yarn you are asking about, but if the suggested gauge is close and you like it, it will probably work.

what gauge is the big fat yarn you used? Is it super-bulky, so that whatever that Lion Brand yarn is that’s really fat would work? (sorry if this is intelligible.)

Hi Sarah!

It’s this time of year, right after the time change that energy, mood and spirit go down rapidly. When I go to work, it’s the middle of the night. By the time I go home, daylight has not quite come up yet.

I hardly see daylight, except on days off. Even then, the daylight is mostly gray and misty or just plain wet.

But we try to cope and get by, right? I wish I could spin, like you. The colors of the fiber are what makes wakeful hours uplifting. So keep spinning and knitting. Me? It’s dancing, knitting, and getting inspiration from reading other people’s blogs. Plus, eating, unfortunately.
