Thanks for the improved pattern. I love the hat. I am planning to make one soon. It is inspiring me to do some wild handspun.

They aren't difficult to use, but it is finicky to wind lace weight yarn on one for a knitting machine.

I was just having a bad day. I wouldn't worry about it.

Are the ball winders really hard to use? I just asked my dad for one as a gift for Christmas. I'm really looking forward to getting started on my knitting.

Hi Sarah!

Thanks for the pattern. It's a lovely prairie bonnet. I am also a prairie girl (flatlander) but I currently live in Alberta. I used to live near Saskatoon and still have a fondness for that city. It's so pretty!

You are right, I don't think it is a word, but I don't like to think of the English language as a static thing, but a living entity that changes with people's needs over time.

Sara,
I had a VERY old British Mohair yarn, and the Pink Leafy scarf pattern worked just fine.

I even added some fringes to it.
Thanks a lor for letting us make use of your pattern!.
